Lumbini Birth Place of Lord Buddha 10 Days

Destination : Kathmandu - Chitwan - Lumbini - Pokhara - Kathmandu - Nagarkot - Kathmandu
Day 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu (D)
Upon arrival in Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport, meet with local representative and transfer to hotel. After freshening up is a sightseeing tour to Kirtipur. Kirtipur is a small historic town, which is southwest of Kathmandu and situated on top of a hill. Tribhuvan University, Nepal's premier seat of education is located at the foothills of Kirtipur. This historic town has many things to offer like old shrines and temples, and old houses. In the evening group will be taken for welcome dinner, where will be chances to see Nepalese cultural performances.

Day 02 : Kathmandu - Chitwan (B/L/D)
After breakfast set off to Chitwan by coach and have lunch on arrival. There will be a few side trips in the evening followed by a briefing about the trips to Chitwan given by the Camp manager.

Day 03 : Chitwan National Park (B/L/D)
The Chitwan National Park, occupying approximately 960 sq. km, was formally a hunting ground reserved for the royal families, now boasts of one of the richest areas in wildlife and tall grassland habitat. After breakfast, set off on a canoe ride down the Rapti River to enjoy the many species of birds and one can also see crocodiles idling on the riverbank. After the end of the trip will be the ox-cart ride back to the camp by passing the Tharu village, and thereafter, followed by an elephant ride. These well-trained elephants will take into the deeper parts of the jungle where grazing one-horned rhinoceros and summer deer abound. If lucky, one may catch a glimpse of the sloth bear, gaur and even the endangered Bengal tigers.

Day 04 : Chitwan - Lumbini (B)
After breakfast, leave for Bhairawa (Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha). On arrival, check-in to the hotel. After lunch is the visit to the birthplace of Lord Buddha. The main feature in erected by Emperor Ashoka in 249 BC.

Day 05 : Lumbini - Pokhara (B)
After breakfast, leave for Pokhara and upon arrival, check-in to the hotel. There will be a one-hour boating trip on the scenic Fewa Lake.

Day 06 : Lumbini - Pokhara (B)
This lakeside village provides a stunning view of one of the most beautiful panoramas in the world, made up of the Annapurna Range (8091m, the 11th highest peak in the world), In the afternoon, will be a visit to Bindebasini Temple, (Hindu Goddess) Seti George, Davis Fall and followed by the Tibetan Refugee Camp where barter trading
is still being practiced.

Day 07 : Pokhara- Kathmandu (B)
After breakfast, return to Kathmandu by coach. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, check-in to the hotel and the evening is free and easy.

Day 08 : Kathmandu - Nagarkot (B)
After breakfast will be the city tour, starting with a visit to the 2000 year old Swayambhunath Stupa (UNESCO World heritage site in 1979) (monument) which rests on top of a green hillock west of Kathmandu. This place is also known as the Monkey Temple as well. Charmed with its dazzling stupa (monument), while at the same time, it offers a marvelous view of Kathmandu City. The next destination is Patan, the oldest and the second largest of the three major cities in Kathmandu valley. Midway, visit the Tibetan Refugee Camp and tour the Tibetan carpet factory. There one will see the spinning, dyeing and weaving of Tibetan carpets. One may wish to purchase carpet(s) of one's choice. After the city tour, proceed to Nagarkot a mountain resort which sits at 2300m above sea level, from this lovely scenic spot on a clear day,
One can watch the excellent view of the Himalayan range including Mount Everest.

Day 09 : Nagarkot - Kathmandu (B)
Wake up early in the cold highland morning in Nagarkot and catch the sunrise and beautiful view of the Himalayas at dawn. After breakfast is a drive to Boudhanath Stupa (monument) and continuing to Kathmandu Durbar Square, thereafter, return to the hotel. The afternoon is free and easy.

Day 10 : Departure (B)
After breakfast, it is again free and easy until the transfer to the airport for the flight to on onward destination.
