Overview of Langtang Gosaikunda Trek – 17 Days

Langtang Gosaikunda Trek is a trek across Nepal's Langtang region, featuring breathtaking landscapes, lush green forests, pure and calm lakes, snow-capped mountains, small villages, nature, and wildlife. Langtang is home to the Langtang National Park, which contains a variety of unusual animals and vegetation. During this hike, we will pass through various ethnic towns and villages, as well as bamboo and rhododendron forests. We may also observe the popular Red Panda, snow leopard, musk deer, and other wild species in the park. Langtang Valley is close to the Tibetan border, hence the culture and appearance of the community are similar to Tibet.

The trek begins with a drive from Kathmandu to Syabru Besi. Syabru Besi, a Tamang settlement on the banks of the Bhote Koshi River, serves as the beginning point for our walk. As you continue your journey to Langtang, you will come across Kyanjin Gompa, a Sherpa Village, and a cheese factory, all of which are popular destinations in the region. Gosaikunda Lake is significant to both Hindus and Buddhists because it is a holy site, a pilgrimage destination, and is associated with Lord Shiva.
